Working on More Fun Stuff

Yes, we've been focusing on more fun stuff for my AnimeIowa pictures website. I've mostly been focusing on the news systems that are integrated into my new website management system - allowing people to get email alerts of news and so forth. I might integrate something like that on my aiowa website, but I'm not sure if I have that kind of time.

Galleries still progressing smoothly, as presented in the previous post. I've got a lot of work to do to make uploading simple and easy, though. The galleries, I believe, are pretty good, though. I'm working on some different forms of pagination (see more at once) and seeing what works best and is fastest. Uploading your own pictures should be simpler too with the new gallery system. After all this is just me practicing my website building skillz - Sephiroth needs a hobby. ^_^

AIowa.com News - AnimeIowa Pictures News

Our new AnimeIowa pictures gallery system is getting closer and closer to completion. You can check out an example at http://muscazine.com/galleries/2. We've already got the ability to create galleries, to display them, and add descriptions. We have an upload form ready so that people can even upload their own AnimeIowa Pictures. Features that we are currently working hard on include a comment system, and a picture rating system. We have the basic structure for the rating system already implemented on a few other parts to our program, and can attach it to pics rather easily. Commenting will require users to signup, and we are ensuring that we work all the bugs out of that system before anything else.

We are very excited about our new systems. They are all being programmed in Ruby On Rails, a great website development structure incorporating the best programming language in existance.

Thank you all for your continued support of our great pictures website. As a result of all your appreciation, we have been working hard on a new picture system. The look hopefully won't change much, but you'll be able to comment on pictures, add new pictures, and do much more.
